Decatur Metro | September 18, 2009Brent sends in this surveillance cam video of a suspect who stole a laptop from a neighboring office on Decatur Square this morning around 10:20am.
If you see or recognize the guy at the beginning of this video, please contact Decatur Police immediately.

This is a great use of local blogs. It’s such a good view of this guy that someone might recognize him. Only problem is that the people who would recognize him might not be those likely to be on this blog. Maybe we need something like 24 hour infomercial channels for crime ID–whoever watches infomercials, the Weather Channel, and CNN 24/7 might tune into this too. Couch potatoes could just watch non-stop until they recognized someone they knew.
The thought of this is making me giggle – my mother is an obsessive watcher of the Weather Channel, but a 24 hour crime ID channel would be right up her alley. She’d probably wear out her remote switching back and forth. Weather events! Burglary! Tropical storms! Larceny!
