Beware Me Mateys! The Pirates Arr Back.

    Decatur Metro | September 18, 2009

Beware you landlubbers…Irishlass reminds me of something that InDecatur posted a couple days ago.

The dreaded Captain Drew has again gathered his crew of pirate miscreants for a 1:30p landing at Twain’s tomorrow for their annual pub crawl/pillaging of poor, defenseless Decatur.

From the PiratePalooza website (who knew pirate ships had internet access?)…

    The Pubcrawl

The pubcrawl features four locations this year: Twain’s (1:30pm-2:30pm), The Brick Store (2:45pm-4:00pm), the Commodore Stephen Decatur Plaza (above the MARTA station)(4:05pm-4:30pm) and Eddie’s Attic (4:35pm-6:00pm).

    The PubSing (a pirate concert)

The PubSing will take place at the James Joyce Irish Pub in Avondale Estates and will begin around 6:30pm, thirty minutes after the pubcrawl has been completed. The PubSing will feature bands who play traditional sea chanteys, traditional Irish music, and a few fun extras tossed in for good measure. The Joyce has good parking, but as the crowd grows you may need to park on side streets and other nearby locations.

I have to assume he meant “good docking” and not “good parking.”
