Decatur Beach Party – Get Your Tickets!

    Decatur Metro | June 2, 2009

It’s the hottest street beach this side A1A.

If you’ve got $6.50 and kids that suffer from landlocked-itis, you better rush over to Ticket Alternative and purchase your tickets to the Decatur Beach Party right now!  (Kids 12 and under get in free (limited to 2 per adult), adult tickets are $10 at the “door”)

The beach will magically appear on Ponce on Friday, June 19th starting at 5p.  Afterwards, residents in need of sand to haul away as much as they can free of charge.

More details can be found on the DBA website.

Hi Nick- thanks for posting about the Beach party. Adult tickets are $6.50 in advance and $10 at the gate, There is no limit on how many tickets you can buy.
Children 12 and under are free, and limited to two free children per paying adult. Hope that isn’t too confusing!
BTW- I like the “new” site

My store, Whit’s End has some really cool fun beach party type shirts that always are popular and sell well right before this big Decatur event. It is great to see folks wear their new duds and show them off at the Beach Party.

While I hate to be disloyal to my beloved Arts Festival, Wine Festival and Book Festival, the Beach Party is my favorite event of the year.

Did anyone else hear the ad on NPR this morning? It may have been played several times, but I heard the add at around 7:40am: “NPR is brought to you by the City of Decatur and the Decatur Business Association, sponsor of the Decatur Beach Party….for ticket information…….” =) Yay, go Decatur.
