Roy Leaving Sage; Restaurant Has Three Months To "Make It Work"

    Decatur Metro | December 17, 2008

Rus forwards this message about Sage from Barb Rowland off the Artisan’s Yahoo Group…

Roy is leaving the business.  The owner has given the employees who want to stay and Wayne the Chef 3 months to see if they can make it work and possibly have partnership [to] keep it open. But Roy’s last day is this Saturday. You may want to stop by and wish Roy well and help support the new management in the future. Barb

i’ve always thought sage was pretty good food & definitely that kind of restaurant should be present in downtown decatur. however, i always hoped they’d “mix-it up” every now and again & make menu changes. i’ll admit i haven’t been there in quite some time, so it may have changed – but to my knowledge their menu is always the same.

Hi, my name is wayne and i am the new owner of sage. Roy has left behind a great building block for us to expand on. I have been the chef for the last two years and would like to invite all of decatur to stop by and give us a chance. For the few that have not been in for awhile (scooby) we change the menu three times a year the past two years, so please come in
      Thank u so much

Good luck to all of you at Sage. I might just wander in again sometime in the new year.

Sage is still a great resturant with many of the same faces and attention to service. I highly recommend stopping by and checking the resturant out!

My wife and I are new to Decatur and have had two wonderful experiences at your restaurant. We would like to have her birthday there, I will be calling to coordinate. From menu to friendly staff y’all really do it well.
