Emory Village's Saba Coming to Decatur Square
Decatur Metro | February 7, 2008Pasta replaces pasta.
As noted by EAD in a recent comment, the Emory Village pasta joint, Saba (next to Domino’s / behind Everybody’s), is moving into Pasta Please’s old location on the Square.
Saba should have a name-recognition edge with locals that Pasta Please did not. We’ll have to see if the close proximity of the two locations results in any cannibalization of each other.
Check out their menu here. (Lots more than just pasta, actually) Also see Creative Loafing’s recent January ’08 review of the Emory location here.
Isn’t that also where My Friend’s Place used to be? Restaurants seem to have trouble at that location.
Good luck Shane. I know you’ll do great.
We are now open and glad to be part of a great neighborhood!
Thanks Decatur
Hooray! I love SABA….thisis a great addition….will come see you soon Shane!
Had a very nice meal there!
They will finally be open for Sunday brunch starting this week. Hooray!
Too bad the Saba website indicated that they were already open for brunch on the Square last week. Five of us showed up there this past Sunday at noon and were very disappointed. I’ve heard good things about the place, so it will get a second chance, but Saba is now on double secret probation!
