Wesley shared with TVLine that Kirk is eager to break away from the monotony of following orders and yearns to embark on adventures. Suddenly becoming captain brings more challenges than Kirk anticipates, plunging him into a dire situation that he finds himself unprepared for, despite his initial belief in his readiness.
Wesley describes how Kirk’s first reaction leads to a grave error, causing him to initially crumble under the pressure.
