Featuring Gwenno and a collaboration between Danny L Harle and PinkPantheress.
There’s nothing like a fresh playlist of new music releases to get you ready for packing your vacation suitcase! Kicking off this Friday, July 11, we have Gwenno with her fourth album, Utopia. The Welsh artist, formerly known for her work with The Pipettes, has been carving out a solo career for over a decade with a blend of electropop and folk elements. Her latest record features the track Y Gath, where the multilingual singer switches between English, Welsh, and Cornish lyrics.

On this side of the Channel, Disiz is back with a new song, Ton ventre. Produced by Prince Lao, Emmanuel Camy, and Théo Philippe, the rapper celebrates the miracle of life and expresses admiration for women, particularly his mother, while reflecting on the challenges of parenthood. The track is a gentle, watery ode to the round bellies of maternity: “Your belly, it’s comfort, it’s clear.“
Next on our playlist is a kind of birth—or rather, a rebirth—featuring Soulwax, the Flemish electronic rock band, returning with two new tracks seven years after their last album. We’ve selected the title track from their upcoming album, All Systems Are Lying, an experimental song notable for its absence of electric guitar, offering a cautionary tale about the harmful and excessive use of technology in uncertain times.

Danny L Harle, a prominent producer for artists like Charli XCX, Oklou, and Caroline Polachek, teams up with PinkPantheress for his first track under his own name since the release of Harlecore four years ago. Starlight is a pop explosion with a touch of melancholy, featuring a unique hard trance style. This track also marks the first release from the British singer and producer since her mixtape, Fancy That, in May.
Finally, Deftones emerged from their hiatus, five years after their last album, to sneak into our weekly playlist at the last minute. Following a canceled Glastonbury show due to health issues, Chino Moreno, the lead vocalist of the Californian metal band, announced a new song, My Mind is a Mountain, on Thursday, July 10. He used the buzz generated by this new track to confirm the upcoming release of their tenth album, Private Music. The album, produced by Nick Raskulinecz—who previously collaborated with the band on Diamond Eyes (2010) and Koi No Yokan (2012)—will hit the shelves on August 22. Deftones will also promote this album at the Adidas Arena in Paris on January 29, 2026.
