American Girl Doll Found in Medlock Park

    Decatur Metro | May 5, 2013

I’m searching for the owner of an American Girl doll I found [Friday] in Medlock Park. It’s a nice doll in very good condition. I’m pretty sure that a little girl somewhere is missing it quite a bit. I have reason to believe that the owner might be named Virginia, which is an unusual name, so maybe someone out there knows her? Anyone with a lead can contact me at eblairg@gmail.com

She looks like she had a bit too much Cinco de Mayo.

Just checked and my American Girl is sitting right next to me.

I’d see if this could get into the Clairmont Heights Neighboorhood Association newsletter too. American Girl dolls are expensive and their clothes cost more than the clothes of their owners! From the looks of those sunglasses and the sippy cup, the owner is one hip girl! I’d love to see her reunited with her doll.

I keep picturing a Millenial Nancy Drew or The Babysitter’s Club with a theme song by either Sara Bareilles or Michelle Branch. Cameo by Robert Osborne.

It’s a Tom Waits song that should accompany this picture.

            You’re right. Tom Waits indeed.
