Decatur Art Hunt Starts on May 18th!

May Parker Cross forgive me!  Larry writes in…

There’s a group of us, who, through Twitter, do a free art hunt the 1st Friday of every month–hashtag #FAFATL( or fafatl.com).
…[On] May 18th we will be out there hiding art in Decatur and Oakhurst. We have about 20 artists lined up, so there should be a fair amount of art going out.

The Facebook page is “free art hunt decatur”.  They shared it with the Decatur Arts Alliance and Decatur Arts Fest pages too.  The page should be more active soon.  I’m trying to get folks to post piece of the art.
Also, there is a preview “show this friday at-The Acme Building 533 West Howard Ave Suite D, Decatur, GA 30030–facebook page is May the 3rd FAFATL Star Wars Day Pre Show., which includes a bunch of artists who will be joining in on May 18th.

    Don’t be silly, DM. I like this project and I am happy to see you cover it.

    I actually scored a piece of free art when they did a hunt associated with hidden green spaces a while back.

        fisbn’s link below explains it better than I could but the drops were paired with significant trees. I found my flounder in one of the dawn redwoods on Ponce de Leon.

    As long as I get a flounder…or a SpookyToons ghost…or an Evreman….or all of them…I’ll be pleased.

    Note that I have no idea if any/all of the above are participating. I’m just making my wish list now. My Catlanta and Crat need friends!
