What’s This All About?

Decatur Metro | November 6, 2012

This note’s getting sent around by various Decatur powers-that-be.  What do you think the announcement could be?

A Buckhead annexation attempt?  Frozen yogurt-making classes at DHS?  Less crumbly faux-brick sidewalks?

Real Estate Blog: Garlic Thai Sold; To Be Replaced by “Native: A Local Joint”

Decatur Metro | November 6, 2012

Yen points to this this post on the Shumacher real estate broker blog that states “Steve Josovitz just sold the Garlic Thai Sushi ( Formerly Little Azio) in Decatur. …The Buyer John Mathews will be opening a American seasonal restaurant to be called NATIVE “A Local Joint”.

I’ve verified the news through another source.  No obvious online info about the new restaurant yet.

White Poodle Mix Found on Mimosa Drive

Decatur Metro | November 6, 2012

Darren writes in…

I found a dog within the 300 block of Mimosa Drive. It is a white poodle or poodle mix with a red collar and no tags. I knocked on doors in the area and couldn’t find the owner. Can you please post message letting people know it has been found and brought to dekalb animal control to see if it has been chipped. Thanks!

Election Day Open Thread

Decatur Metro | November 6, 2012

It’s a cold and wet Election Day in the State o’ Georgia.  (Insert other token obvious observations)

Use this open thread to report issues at your polling precincts (I’m already hearing about voter ID machines down in Oakhurst), wait times to vote, or just to complain about the weather.

If you still don’t know where you need to vote, you can access the State’s voter webpage to pull up the address of your assigned precinct.  Happy voting Decatur!
