What’s Happening to the Leon’s Patio Area?

    Decatur Metro | November 7, 2011

Greg sent in this picture early this afternoon showing some construction on the Leon’s patio.  Part-owner Dave Blanchard fills us in as to what’s goin’ on…

We are putting up a metal and wood beamed pergola over the patio. Should provide more shade in the summer and give us a way to hang fans, heaters, lighting, etc to extend the patio life in the transition months. I’m excited. It should be quite cool and beautiful.

And I didn’t think I could love that place any more than I already do.

What a shame. Your patio had such a nice open inviting atmosphere.

Wow–why not put some of that love and money into the Grant Park location that you’ve let sit and rot for 5 years? We’re all tired of looking at it–at least come paint or clean it up!

Not sure they still own/lease that space, but I’m pretty sure you can thank the City of Atlanta for making that process impossible for them.
