Dog Found Near Intown Ace Hardware This Morning

    Decatur Metro | October 2, 2011

    Kristen writes in…

My neighbors found this dog near the Ace Hardware on Scott Blvd this morning. He is not wearing any tags but is neutered, very friendly, leash trained, and well socialized. He looks like some sort of a Bassett hound mix. They said he appeared confused and was wandering near the street. My neighbor stopped the car, opened the door, and he jumped right in. They are taking him to the vet in the morning to see if he has a microchip. Anyone who knows where this guy belongs can email me at kdenius@gmail.com.

I’m starting to think that DM actually stands for Dogs Misplaced! Hope he’s found his way home. As always, I’m happy to help if needed…

Someone posted on FaceBook that she lost her dog off Scott Blvd. last night. Messaging her now to see if it’s her dog.

How fantastic! Buffet sounds like a doll. His barrel body, curvy legs, and ballerina feet remind me of my basset mix, Fred. I’m thrilled that some wonderful people found him for you.

I think Decatur Metro is the single most effective lost/found pet resolution service ever invented. I actually get excited every time a photo of a wayward pooch goes up, knowing that within 24-48 hours, the comments string will bring me sweet, sweet catharsis.

His family was scheduled to come and pick him up from my neighbors last night. I didn’t see him next door this morning so I’m assuming that Buffett has gone home. I’ll double check this evening when I get home and post a final Buffett status report soon after.
