    Decatur Touch-A-Truck is this Saturday!

    Decatur Metro | April 28, 2011 | 1:00 pm

After getting canceled due to weather last month, Touch-A-Truck day is finally here (again)!  From the Be Active Decatur blog…

Join Decatur Active Living this coming Saturday, April 30 for the annual Touch A Truck event. This fun event gives children of all ages a chance to touch, explore and see their favorite truck or equipment on wheels. The City of Decatur and DeKalb County will have fire trucks, dump trucks, tractors, police cars, motorcycles and many other vehicles on display.

The event will be held from 10 am until 1 pm in the Callaway Building Parking lot located at 120 West Trinity Place. Free parking is available in the DeKalb County Parking deck adjacent to the event. This event is offered free to the community.

GREAT event for boys ages 18 mos. to 3-4 years. Others enjoy it too but tykes in the vehicle-obsessed stage of development should not miss it.

Why BOYS? We took our 3 YO triplet granddaughters last year and they loved it! IT’s fun for kids of all ages – there are different layers of information for all!

Darn it, DM! I was counting on everyone forgetting about this tomorrow so we would have the firetruck all to ourselves! Curses, foiled again!
