City of Decatur Schools Closed Wednesday

Decatur Metro | January 11, 2011

CSD’s Bruce Roaden breaks the news that City of Decatur schools will be closed again on Wednesday.

I say we expand the duties of “Safe Routes to School” to included shoveling streets and offering ski-mobiles shuttles to all schools!

Hear, hear! But forget the polluting, noisy ski-mobiles and never mind shoveling the streets. Cross-country skiing would fit well with Safe Routes to School…it’s healthy, easily learned by all, inexpensive (after the initial investment in skis which are much cheaper than downhill skis) and green! I volunteer to lead this one! I actually pull out my old cross-country skis whenever it snows here.

Does anyone know if The Art Institute of Atlanta-Decatur is closed Wednesday as well? I’m driving from Warner Robins and would hate to show up for cancelled classes.
