What the hell is wrong with people?!? A grown-ass man, acting like a fool. Now he’s lost his job & his reputation, and for what? For what? This makes me tired.
I don’t know the details of this man’s situation, but if everybody who ever had an extramarital affair got fired, we would have a LOT of people on the street looking for new jobs. I’m not sure how relevant his affair is/was to his job, I’m just sayin’ his “offense” does not seem that uncommon to me.
It has to do with the fact that as COO, he was the supervisor of all employees; there is likely a county policy against supervisors having relations with employees under their control. While his bad judgment as a man gets him in trouble with his wife, family and friends, it was breaking a workplace policy and bad judgment in his position as COO that got him fired.
