CSD Strategic Plan Process Kicks Off August 31st
Decatur Metro | August 17, 2010What will you suggest?
From a City Schools of Decatur announcement…
Tuesday, August 31, 2010 City Schools of Decatur will kick-off our Strategic Plan process with a community input session. We want to hear from you on the future direction of the school district before the plan is developed. We will begin the evening in the Performing Arts Center at Decatur High School where we will hear from Superintendent Edwards about the achievements of our last strategic plan and then move into small groups where we will discuss City Schools of Decatur and the hopes our community members have for students. We look forward to hearing from a broad section of our community as we move into this important planning process. Date: August 31, 2010 (Tuesday) Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Place: Decatur High School
If you would like to attend you may RSVP by calling 404-370-4400 or emailing

My usual comment: No participation, no complaining! (Of course I realize that not all 20,000 of us residents can attend but it takes too long to write every time “No strategic planning participation, no SLT membership, no Board meeting input, no meeting with teachers or principal, no PTO service, no survey response, no running for the Board, no voting, no complaining!)
Can you please post that the CSD Strategic Plan is extended to folks who cannot come to the planning session? I was in this session tonight and we were encouraged to spread the word that an online survey will be on the CSD website by the end of the week and will remain until sometime in October.
