Isabelle’s Cafe Now Open on West College Ave.
Decatur Metro | July 25, 2010
This was mentioned in a comment a couple weeks back, and I believe the actual opening was back on July 12th, but let’s make it official shall we?
Isabelle’s Cafe, which moved into the old Moxie Java space at 910 West College Avenue in Decatur, is now open for business. Their menu is up on their website and it sounds like wine and beer will be available for purchase starting next month.
As mentioned in our previous post, their website sums up their offerings like this…
The unifying element to all of our dishes is the artful use of spices and herbs in a manner that results in unique and delicious appetizers, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts.

As mentioned in FFAF: Great corn muffins and mud cake. Also enjoyed the spinach and mango salad, macaroni and cheese, and sweet potato taters. Not sure it’s a kid-oriented menu given the sophisticated and spicey menu but my daughter already wants to go back so who knows?
Sounds yummy! Can’t wait to try it!
They could always make it “kid friendly” by putting on puppet shows in that half wall/ curtains space! I’d come watch & dine!
My husband and I tried it out earlier this week and we are both looking forward to going back again and again. Great use of spices!
Was it better than “CATS?”
Ate there last week and it was very good – the corn muffins are great, the Grilled Jerk Chicken Panini with Tamarind Sauce and Cajun Alfredo Shrimp & Andouille Sausage on Toasted CIabatta were great. Would definitely go back
Went last week, it was good. Service was a little slow but they are probably just working out the kinks being so new. Had the white beans vegetarian dish. They have lots of great options for vegetarians so I am glad to have a place to eat with omnivore friends! Owner stopped by to see how we liked it. Waitress was good about writing 4 checks as I was eating with girlfriends.
