    It’s actually South Candler Street. Candler Road (no “South”) is the part in DeKalb County – note that the house numbers start over at the City limits.

    I’ve been wondering about this stretch for a few months. Appears that this slug of ARRA money has taken the summer off. I’m sure there is a good reason that nothing is happening (delayed parts, equipment, crews busy on other projects…) but the side walk closed sign presents a problem. Has anyone tried to actually cross at that location? Good luck!

    This picture appears to have been taken from the driver’s seat of a vehicle. To someone who walks and cycles in this area regularly, that’s a little terrifying. Maybe the photographer came to a stop on Candler to snap the photo?
