Is she Mr. Wheeler’s (Clairemont para pro’s ) daughter? Wow.

Not sure. I believe that Ms. Wheeler at Glennwood is his daughter but not sure about this Wheeler. Either way, all these Wheelers are awesome. We miss Mr. Wheeler. CSD should never have let him go to the Grant Park Charter School.

Erin Wheeler was Erin Eliason when she first came to teach at Clairemont. She got married a year or two later. Perhaps she is Mr Wheeler’s daughter in law ?

I believe she has a sister or sister in law who teaches ( or used to teach) in CSD.

Actually, she was Ms. Wheeler when she first came to Clairemont – I was in her first class.

Her sister is Shannon Wheeler, who teaches fifth (or fourth? Not sure if she looped) grade at Glennwood.

Amen. If I am not mistaken, Mr. Wheeler has two daughters employed by CSD.

All the more proof that Mr. Wheeler is fantastic in every way–both as a father and as a parapro! Our loss and Grant Park Charter’s gain. CSD should have tried harder to hang on to some of the amazing parapros it has lost lately. Many were successful professionals who wanted to do something rewarding after they retired. They were part of what made CSD elementaries great.

This is a great decision for our CSD. I had the pleasure of having her as our instructional coach at Oakhurst (I’m an Oakhurst parent). She is wonderful. Clairmont should be so proud and thrilled to get her.

This is a good decision. Ms. Wheeler is a veteran CSD employee. Ten years ago, she team-taught with Mr. Greg Wiseman (Winnona Park Principal) in the 5th grade class at Clairemont. Like Mr. Wiseman, she has many good qualities. She is smart, gets along well with both students and parents, and understands what great leadership is all about. My son was in her class on 9/11 and I still remember how well she handled that very difficult day. Maybe what I admire most about Ms. Wheeler is that she has chosen to stay in the system even though a sharp teacher/leader like her has probably had many offers elsewhere. She remembers what Clairemont was like during the “glory days” when Ms. Judy Green was principal. Since that time, Ms. Wheeler has also had an opportunity to work with another outstanding principal, Ms. Mary Mack, at Oakhurst. She will bring all these great qualities and experiences as the new principal at Clairemont. I wish her the best of luck.

Well said, Mr. B. Erin and Greg were sensational teachers at Clairemont and beloved by students and parents. Erin will continue her magical influence as Principal at CES as Greg does at WP.
