Bhojan Market Now Open Next to Bhojanic
Decatur Metro | January 7, 2010Just received this press release from Jennifer. The market has been open for a few weeks now.
DECATUR, GA – January 6, 2010 – Bhojan Market, an offshoot of the popular Bhojanic Restaurant, opened its doors on December 17th. Bhojan Market is located two doors down from Bhojanic in the same complex and is open from Noon-8pm, Monday – Saturday. The market offers prepared meals, quick catering solutions, made to order chai, unique gifts and Tiffins (refillable food carriers).
The new market features a Chai Bar stocked with beneficial herbs and spices. Customers can create their own concoction of Chai. Ingredients include: ginger, cinnamon, cloves, saffron, cardamom, black pepper, fennel, honey and ground almonds or a simple cup of Green Tea. The knowledgeable market staff can guide customers through which herbs and spices work best for anything from the common cold (fresh ginger) to an upset stomach (fennel and Indian Basil).
At Bhojan Market, customers can choose from many homemade marinades, chutneys, pickles, signature spice blends with instructions for use, ready to go sauces, chapatis, plain and stuffed parathas (Indian breads), appetizers and specialty items. For the grill masters, the market will have meats and vegetables already marinated, ready to grill and enjoy. A variety of Indian cookies, desserts, savory snacks, mini-sandwiches, Indian cookbooks and magazines will also be available. While customers enjoy their hot tea, they can look through all the many interesting items in Bhojan Market.
Cooking Kits presented in decorative packaging are available and make great gifts for someone who is learning to cook Indian food. The kits come with a recipe card, main ingredients & spices specific to each dish featured. Customers will be able to cook “Daal Tarka”, “Chole Masala”, “Chicken 65” and many more. Just add the fresh ingredients!
Private cooking classes as well as food and wine tastings with the chef will take place in the kitchen. After attending a cooking class, customers will have everything they need to recreate their favorites.
Bhojan Market is located in the same complex as Bhojanic at 1369 Clairmont Road.
Oh, this sounds heavenly. Should I shop the market first, or have a delicious meal at the restaurant, followed by shopping? The restaurant is really top notch, so I’m sure their extensions of whatever kind are of equal quality.
Yep…this is a GOOD THING>
Sounds fabulous! I’ve been meaning to get over that way, but will definitely have to now. Thanks for passing along the news.
I crave their food and the family doesn’t usually want to go there since they are boring. LOL This is the answer to my chutney needs!
