“That Pottery Place” Moving To Suburban Plaza

    Decatur Metro | September 14, 2009

Billy alerts us that “That Pottery Place”, next to “Taste” on Church Street has a sign in their window saying they’ll be moving to Suburban Plaza next month.  A note on their website confirms…

Big News!  We are moving to serve you better on October 1, 2009!   Our new location will be in Suburban Plaza 2569 N. Decatur Road.  We will have more space, more selection, new products and lots of free parking!

Yay! I’m beyond thrilled! They will be a great addition to and improvement upon Suburban Plaza.

Good luck, but I really doubt that not having “lots of free parking” was the problem. Seems like “Suburban Plaza” is exactly the right place for this kind of mindset.

I hope this works out for them.

My guess is that the rent is a lot cheaper. But I wonder if the Suburban Plaza ambience will fit them. The pottery place theme fit real well at the old location. However, if it means that Suburban Plaza is morphing into something a bit more family oriented, great. Between bowling, sewing supplies, and a pottery place, it could be the start of a new family friendly ambience there.

Yep….Suburban Plaza is a HUGE opportunity for a retail developer with some vision. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.

Hopefully someone will seize the opportunity. Good luck to THAT POTTERY PLACE.

I’m still waiting for Trader Joe’s to open a location in Suburban Plaza. THAT would turn the shopping center into a booming little section.
