Dine Out For Life Tonight
Decatur Metro | April 22, 2009Carl notes that today is Open Hand’s “Dine Out for Life” night at participating restaurants across Atlanta.
Dine out at any listed restaurant today and between 20% and 100% of the day’s take to goes to Open Hand, who “continue to provide freshly prepared, home-delivered meals, nutrition education, counseling and therapy to homebound seniors and individuals who are struggling with chronic, critical or terminal disease in 17 Georgia counties.”
Among Decatur restaurants, Carl lists these as those participating: “Cafe Alsace, Watershed, Raging Burrito & Taco, Parker’s On Ponce, Carpe Diem, Feast, Taqueria del Sol, and Wahoo!” Some heavy hitters in there.

We were at the Outcasts United/Fugees book event at the Carter Center until late last night so we hit Two Urban Licks for our Dine Out for Life dinner. Looks like they had a nice crowd (looking at one large table caused me to ask our server if there was an exotic dancer convention in town); I hope the other joints on the list saw an uptick in business.
