The initial quarter-final of the 2025 edition of the Les Inrocks Super Club is set to feature an eclectic mix of 2.0 antifolk, boisterous Francophone punk, and rock infused with hyperpop. This musical showcase, held at Le Hasard Ludique on September 26th, welcomes Gabriel Kröger, Oh Non, and Vera Daisies to the stage.
Gabriel Kröger
Gabriel Kröger emerges as a cynical anti-hero who finds no solace in sadness. Drawing inspiration from the Anglophone anti-folk scene, including artists like Crywank, Adam Green, and Violent Femmes, this musician from the Île-de-France region dons a hood and wields sharp cynicism to vocalize the absurdities of life and existence. His artistic influences permeate his 2024 album release Mémoires d’un jeune dégueulasse, a nod to Charles Bukowski’s Notes of a Dirty Old Man. Kröger’s biting wit pairs with a musical blend of punk and folk, performed alongside three fellow musicians.

Oh Non
Oh Non exists at the intersection of various artistic influences, teetering between the aesthetic bursts of new wave and cabaret. Self-described as “dada punk,” the group embraces a maximalist, burlesque, and vibrant approach. The five members describe their performances as “brutalist cabarets, akin to Nina Hagen and Liza Minnelli making love in a warehouse.” Their creative and resourceful nature breathes new life into French punk, offering a unique and fresh perspective.
Vera Daisies
After her stint in the feminist, Francophone duo Ottis Cœur with Camille Luca, Margaux Jaudinaud continues her musical journey solo as Vera Daisies. She collaborates with Geagea, a fellow artist who participated in the Les Inrocks Super Club in 2024, for the production of her upcoming debut album. While awaiting the album’s release and her performance at the Les Inrocks Super Club, fans can repeatedly enjoy her single Chess Game, a track that blends hyperpop with teenage rock vibes.
