Daniel Avery Unveils His Sixth Album “Tremor”: Discover the Latest Sounds

By Tyler Jenkins

Daniel Avery annonce la sortie de son sixième album, “Tremor”

The British DJ unveils the first track from his upcoming album, a bold and collaborative new project. “Tremor” will be his debut release under the Domino label, available on shelves October 31.

Daniel Avery is set to shake things up. The British producer, known for his collaborations with the likes of Metronomy, is gearing up to release his latest work. The 13-track record, mixed by Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins) and David Wrench (FKA Twigs, Frank Ocean), Tremor presents a more experimental, dreamy Avery who boldly disregards musical genre boundaries. Elements of shoegaze, trip-hop, and techno blend seamlessly throughout the album.

Indeed, he states in the press release: “It embodies the welcoming spirit of acid house, yet the doors are flung even wider to incorporate all the influences of my musical journey: the warmth of distortion, the calm within the storm, the transcendent beauty of noise… These elements have always been present in my music, but now they feel like they’re expressed in technicolor. This album is for the post-rave dreamers, guitar enthusiasts, and anyone willing to embark on the journey. Everyone is welcome.”

This friendly vibe is also evident in his new single, Rapture in Blue, featuring vocals by Cecile Believe and guitar by Andy Bell of Oasis and Ride, which is a consistent element throughout the album. The record promises contributions from Julie Dawson of NewDad, Yeule, Art School Girlfriend, Bdrmm, and Yunè Pinku. Tremor, Daniel Avery’s first album under the Domino label, will release on October 31, followed by a performance at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris on November 6.
