Swirlin’ Twirlin’ Frozen Yogurt Shop Closing Its Decatur Location

    Decatur Metro | January 1, 2015 | 11:24 am

Looks like Swirlin’ Twirlin’ Decatur is closing its West Ponce location.

    From Swirlin’ Twirlin’s Facebook page…

Due to some unforeseen events, we are sad to say that as of the New Year we will be closing our doors. We thank our community for a great 3 years, and want to remind everyone that you can still enjoy our great recipes at our Canton and Flowery Branch locations- find them at Swirlin’ Twirlin’ and Swirlin’ Twirlin’ Canton.

    Thank you Decatur,
    -SwirlinTwirlin Team

More Frozen Yogurt Coming to Decatur

    Decatur Metro | April 27, 2012 | 9:20 am

Looks like the Mac Magee’s wait staff was right about the partial renovation of the old Trust Building on Decatur Square.  Tomorrow’s News Today reports…

Froyolo will soon open on the Decatur Square. Similar to Swirlin’ Twirlin’ which opened last year on West Ponce, Froyo is attempting to come ITP after launching OTP. I’ve only been to their Sugarloaf location which I think was their first but Froyolo also has locations in Dacula and Hamilton Mill. Swirlin’ Swirlin’ is based in Flowery Branch.

Fro Yo Coming to West Ponce

    Decatur Metro | July 30, 2011 | 9:42 pm

Mrs. DM alerts me to a new frozen yogurt spot – Swirlin’ Twirlin’ – opening in the 335 West Ponce building in Decatur.  Carl’s already posted a pic on Flickr (above).   It looks like it’s taking over the old Signature Revolutions spot.

It looks like the only other Swirlin’ Twirlin’s located in Flowery Branch.   That location has both a Facebook page and a Twitter account.

    Yogurt Tap is Now Open

    Decatur Metro | August 13, 2009 | 11:26 am

As of 11am this morning, Yogurt Tap is open to the public.

For all those that refuse to believe it without visual evidence, Robert posted a pic of the open doors on Twitter.

The Yogurt Tap website also now has more details, including August’s flavors and toppings.  Flavors for the month include: Original Tart, Green Apple, Raspberry, Pineapple, Mango, and Dark Chocolate.

Toppings look awesome too.  Fresh fruit and Gummy bears!!  :-)

Yogurt Tap Details Emerge Prior to Opening

    Decatur Metro | July 31, 2009 | 8:33 am

Atlanta Magazine’s “Covered Dish” blog has been doing a little Decatur-sleuthing of it’s own and gotten a healthy heap of details on Church Street’s “Yogurt Tap“, which – according to the post – will open toward the end of next week.

The post’s author, Sara Levine, talked directly with owner Lindsey Phillips, so she’s got a healthy serving of the 39 cents-an-ounce inside scoop.  (Oh the puns, they are so numerous!)  Click over to learn about Phillips’ inspiration, and what kinds of frozen yogurt will be on tap.

    Here’s a taste…

Phillips says the original tart will be a staple, along with rotating flavors including dark chocolate, pineapple, green apple and strawberry.
