In the eleventh episode, the narrative threads come together as the evening of the gala is depicted in detail. At the upscale event in Grosse Pointe, Alice receives shocking news: her mother-in-law, Patty, was the one who killed her cherished dog. In response, the gardener plots her vengeance by planning to destroy Patty’s favorite acquisition—a handmade quilt she had won at the gala auction for a hefty sum.

The entire crew absconds with the blanket to their garden shed, deciding that their act of revenge would be better with an audience. In her fury, Alice sends a text to Patty summoning her to the shed. However, the message is intercepted by her father-in-law, Keith, who shows up instead.

What follows is an intense yet comical tussle over the quilt as the group attempts to shove it into a wood chipper. Amid the chaos, they manage to fend off Keith, and part of the quilt eventually succumbs to the blades of the machine. Keith frantically tries to salvage what is left of his wife’s prized possession. No. The camera reveals several deep gashes on his back. It turns out, in the midst of pulling out the quilt, he had backed into a spiked gardening tool hanging on the wall, impaling himself.
