Just before the start of Oasis’s tour, the band has chosen to present their fans with a special gift in the form of an album. A new version of their iconic album will be released on October 3, featuring new renditions of five tracks in addition to the original songs.
Oasis is making a spectacular comeback. As they kick off their reunion tour this week, they are also celebrating the 30th anniversary of a legendary album from their discography. (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? has been refreshed for the occasion, and the new version includes five additional tracks that are sure to delight the group’s fans.

This release follows the reissue last summer of their debut album, Definitely Maybe. Both albums were originally released fourteen months apart, in 1994 and 1995 respectively. The deluxe edition of their second album, soon to hit the shelves, will feature unplugged versions of Morning Glory, Cast No Shadow, Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova, and Acquiesce, the latter already available for streaming.
A Freshly Polished Album Cover
Goodbye to the old album cover! The artwork has been subtly altered by Brian Cannon, the designer of the original cover. While it retains its original essence, fans can have fun spotting the seven differences. The image is less blurry, storefronts have changed, there’s a smaller logo, and most noticeably, the brothers are no longer in the photo, leaving a gap to fill. Other than that, the street has changed little but has aged, a clear sign—if one was needed—of the band’s enduring legacy.
Upon its initial release, the album was a massive success. It sold over 22 million copies worldwide, becoming the third best-selling studio album of all time in the UK and winning the award for Best British Album at the 1996 BRIT Awards. This new collector’s edition is expected to sell rapidly, much like their concert dates, which are consistently sold out. The tour starts on Friday, July 4, in Cardiff.
