“Pach & Ker” : le projet musical de Gwendoline avec des résidents de foyers de vie en Bretagne

Over a period of eighteen months, a Breton duo guided fourteen residents with disabilities through the creation of six songs, culminating in the album “Pach & Ker”.

The culmination of eighteen months of effort, Pach & Ker is a project led by Gwendoline—a Breton duo who released their second album, C’est à moi ça, in March 2024—and initiated by Astropolis Organisation in collaboration with the Don Bosco Life Homes of Pen Ar C’hoat in Guilers and Kervallon in Brest, both of which serve individuals with disabilities.

Alongside Pierre Barrett and Mika Olivette, fourteen residents – Céline, Danis, Nolwenn, Stéphane, Stéphanie, Charlotte, Cyril, Jérôme, Manoel, Mikaël, Marc, Monique, Roger, and Virginie – produced six tracks: Tout va bien, Brest-New York, Crooner, Toc-toc qui est là, À quand les vacances, and Cours.

This project resulted in fifteen days of songwriting sessions held between the residential facilities and the studios of La Carène and l’Agora, incorporating synthesizers, guitars, and percussion instruments played by all participants, with guidance and assistance from the duo. The lyrics express a love for the city of Brest and mention “unlimited chouchen” (a traditional Breton alcoholic drink made from honey), clearly indicating the project’s Breton roots.
