Very interesting. The best advice I ever received about jewelry /diamonds was from the customer service rep at First National Bank back in 1987. She was a very attractive/mature lady who wore quite a bit of jewelry so I figured a good one to ask for a recommendation. “If you don’t know jewelry, make sure you know your jeweler”. She recommended Moody’s Fine Jewlery on the square, which is now long gone (replaced by a bar I’m sure), but the advice is still solid. The diamond I bought from Moody’s still shines like the sun on my wife’s left hand.
So what’s this all leading to? My boss just returned from New Yourk City and he mentioned visiting the diamond district. Wouldn’t it be something if Decatur had a similar area, where store owners would stand at the door of their shop and bark, “Hey You! I got what you lookin for. You want diamonds? I give you wholesale” or “You want locally grown produce? We grow it in the parking lot!”. Now that’s diversity you won’t find in Butthead, Alfartretta, or anywhere else around here!

I admit to always getting a little thrill every time I see Chris Billingsley in the “Recent Comments” section. This is because of his unpredictability; you just never know what you’re gonna get. But it’s always an enjoyable read. Thanks, Mr. B., for being interesting, fun and often having a different perspective on things. Keep on writing!

As for the little thrill thing…yeah, my life could use a bit of spicing up. :-)

Personally, I head for the nearest bar and order a drink whenever I see Chris Billingsley in the Recent Comments section, just because I know that’d tick him off :-)
