Winsome, happy, perky young man who still loves Dr. Seuss and who helps carry in the groceries. Nice antidote to the Gold Dome grinches mentioned on other threads!

Gads, that’s one cute kid there!

My son has played on a Decatur soccer team with him. Great kid, unbeatable smile, and a natural athlete.

      Haha! He loves the comments!

He was carrying 3 bags of books to load into the car for his Spring Break trip to Florida! I love it!

You’re a lucky Mom! I don’t know how I know your son because North Carter Road is not CSD district (tuition student?) but I have run into him and he is a joyful guy! Enjoy!

I’m lucky enough to teach for CSD!

My son and I spend lots of time shuffling between The Decatur Library, Raging Burrito, The Yogurt Tap and The Little Shop of Stories.

      Great pic! :)
Not trying to pick a fight or stir up trouble, but I am a little curious as to why “At Home in Decatur” feels it necessary to question you on the location of your picture and point out that it is not CSD district. Seems a bit petty to me.

I was just trying to figure out how I knew this young man and his Mom cleared it up. Geeesh! I’m the one who always posts about how great an addition tuition or courtesy families are to our schools. I lived in Decatur before it was ultra fashionable. Are you sure you are not trying to stir things up! If so, I’m not biting. I considered buying in Avondale Estates when I was single and only picked Decatur because that’s where a cheaper house opened up for me and I had a single friend who lived here too. I wasn’t even thinking kids and schools.

P.S. I probably shouldn’t have replied. I was wondering what “Aimster” meant. I guess it can be a file sharing program that had copyright issues. But, according to the Urban Dictionary, “Aimstering” can mean “Making a post on a message board featuring made up people in a made up situation. An “Aimster” has a pathological need to lie about everything.” Always learning something new on DM….

Its simply a nickname. Actually I find it funny that it has something to do with posting on message boards! Maybe I shouldn’t have made such a snarky comment but I feel like every time I get on this blog many of the posters have really self-important attitudes which I (personally) find annoying. The problem with blogs and other types of messaging of this type is that it eliminates all of the nonverbal and subtle conversational cues that we rely on to determine communicative intent. It looked to me that you were questioning her (and her son’s) right to go to school here in Decatur. I am glad that wasn’t the case ;)
