ATLANTA (October 31, 2011) – Cousins Properties Incorporated (NYSE: CUZ) today announced the first group of retailers to sign leases at Emory Point. Located in the Clifton Corridor, adjacent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and in close proximity to Emory University and Emory Healthcare, Emory Point is a vertically integrated mixed-use development.
The first group of retailers includes: CVS, Jos A. Bank, Marlow’s Tavern, Which Wich, Solar Dimensions and Carriage Cleaners.
…The $100+ million Phase I of the project will include more than 80,000 square feet of retail space and 443 luxury apartments. Construction began in July and is expected to be complete by fall 2012. The second and third phases of the project will be developed according to market demand.

Not much of interest so far. Certainly doesn’t sound like a destination point.
Jos. A Bank is conservative, moderately priced men’s clothing, is it not? If there was an equivalent shop for women, I would take my business there gladly. I generally shop at department stores and do not enjoy the trek to the perimeter or to buckhead. Fingers crossed.
No Black & White Market? Aeropostale, Bath & Body Works, American Eagle, Ann Taylor Loft, or a nail salon?
I’m shocked. ^_~
Cousins Properties are behind the various “The Avenue” outdoor shopping centers in GA (I like the one in Forsyth). Based on merchant listings, Black & White Market, Ann Taylor Loft, Bath & Body Works and American Eagle are default stores. And throw a DSW in there too.
I mention a nail salon because I don’t remember the last time I saw a shopping center without one in it.
