McGowan’s Pub Open For Business

McGowan’s Pub is now open for business next to Palate. The space looks great. The staff was very friendly, twenty beers on tap. Full menu will be available in another week.
I heard the same thing when I was down in Oakhurst on Friday night.
I had been in touch with Jill, the owner, who told me they would be open in a week or so. I guess she meant they would be”completely open” – with a full menu and whatnot – in a week’s time.
No website yet that I can tell. I’ll be sure to let you all know when it’s up.

Do they have any signage visible from W. Hill? I made a stop at the Hop n’ Shop last night but couldn’t see anything that distinguished itself from Palate.
No signage yet. They are operating as one business in a sense. You can be sitting in Palate and order from the McGowen’s menu. It’s a cool concept not sure if it was intentional or not but the guys could be in the pub watching a game and the ladies chatting it up in the calmer wine bar next door. I was told in Sept. they will start opening for lunch.
