    Decatur Rotary Club Gives Over $13,000 To Local Orgs

    The Decatur Rotary Club announced the annual Community grant recipients on May 14 at their weekly meeting. The Community Grants Committee solicited grant proposals and awarded them based on specific criteria, which focuses on local programs that serve at-risk youth or promote literacy. Pictured above are: Far right, Decatur Rotary President Bryan Downs and far left, The Community Grants Committee Chair Rev. James Brewer-Calvert.

    Recipients included representatives from Decatur Education Foundation, Decatur Cooperative Ministry, Decatur-DeKalb YMCA, DeKalb Library Foundation, DeKalb Rape Crisis Center, Friends of Refugees — Mommy and Me, Global Village School, Our House, Outreach Development Unit of the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta and United Methodist Children’s Home.
