Decatur Police Dragged Into Terrell Bolton Mess
Decatur Metro | May 12, 2010 | 9:36 amWell this is just great. From the AJC…
Decatur police are investigating allegations that DeKalb County officials illegally detained former DeKalb Chief Terrell Bolton and stole his diabetes testing kit.
According to a police report obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Bolton asked officers to issue arrest warrants for CEO Burrell Ellis, Sheriff Thomas Brown and county chief operating officer Keith Barker on charges of false imprisonment, theft by taking and criminal trespass.
Decatur Police Chief Mike Booker said Tuesday that the investigation is in the preliminary stages.

The “preliminary stage” will end when the giggling does.
The investigation should center on how best to hand this case to the GBI and run away really really fast.
Bolton has a new attorney replacing the one who resigned “for financial reasons” and I guess she has to prove she’s worth something. He says he was “too embarrassed” to come forward before. Anything he does is an embarrassment. Thanks again, Vernon !
Vernon Jones and Terrell Bolton. Now that is a pair to draw to. It slays me to thing that Vernon had to transplant a Chief who was embroiled in a lawsuit with is former employer, the city of Houston. We get the leadership we deserve. DeKalb voters are to blame for giving these yo yo’s an office and power. Is this what we want? Every time I speak with a politician, I feel the need to take a shower.
I like the giggling comment about that embarrassed Bolton, big cheese I mean Chief.
Chief Booker’s interview:

I see from the video that my suggested hand-off to the GBI was already attempted and failed.
Chief Booker and our detectives must be thrilled to referee this ceaseless childish drama we call “Dekalb County Leadership”.
I actually think that Burrell Ellis has done the best he could with what he was handed, and has acted as an adult in all this. The rest…not so much.
