Looks Like Decatur, But Whiter and Shinier
Decatur Metro | January 8, 2010 | 9:36 amDang it’s icy out there! I tried to demonstrate that with my pics. Be careful out there folks.
If you’ve got some pics, send ‘em along to decaturite[at]gmail.com and I’ll add them to the album below.
thanks for the lovely shots–you’ve satisfied my curiosity and I can now stay in bed.
Folks, one of my friends almost got wiped out on DeKalb Ave. just a few minutes ago, so if you have to be out there, PLEASE be careful!!! According to her account, DeKalb isn’t terrible, but there’s enough ice there to cause problems (especially if the driver in front of you foolishly slams his brakes on, pinwheels around, and nearly knocks you off the road). On a more cheerful note, beautiful pix of Decatur in white!
Thanks ladies! The light was great this morning!
Just added three pics to the album from Chad. Thanks!
Great pictures!
I drove through there this morning and the city really looked nice.
The hills on Coventry and Stillwood were a challenge. Be careful.
Pretty images, especially in the sunlight! Did you see that central VT and Atlanta had the same morning temp today? 18 degrees!! Just no stopping those arctic cold fronts.
Spikethecat just posted a pic of DeKalb Ave in front of the Candler Park MARTA Station. Still looks pretty nasty.
Great pictures! Got me wondering, though, who’s gonna remove the unauthorized snow from the playground?!?
Sorry, I couldn’t resist. On a more serious note, who’s gonna be at Brick Store this afternoon???
New reader submitted pics from Chris and Kris at the front of the album! Take a look!
Snow chickens now added to the photo mix! Thanks Allison!
I heard there was a dusting of snow in Tampa!
How much whiter and shinier could Decatur really get?
