Body Found on MARTA Tracks Near East Lake Station

Decatur Metro | February 20, 2009

A woman’s body was found on the East/West line near East Lake Station last night around 8:10p.  Apparently, its still unclear whether the woman found on the tracks was hit by the train or not.

If anyone has heard anything beyond the sketchy details found in this morning’s AJC, feel free to comment below.

    Wow, I live opposite and there were a lot of police and fire vehicles there when I got home yesterday evening – I am saddened to hear of the cause. My thoughts are with her family.

    An update on ajc.com reports that the DeKalb medical examiner’s office says her injuries were consistent with be struck by a train.
