I will miss Crescent Moon, but am excited for Thumbs Up to come to Decatur. Thanks for the update!

Had breakfast there this morning. Food was good. The service was good; multiple people stopped by the make sure everything was ok. Couple of first day issues with a dirty menu, no credit card payment yet, no spoons served with coffee and no Splendra but otherwise I am looking forward to trying out all of the menu options. I feel lucky to have been able to get in and get a seat immediately. I am sure that won’t be the case for long especially on the weekend.

Thumbs Up does not accept credit cards ever, it is always cash only.

So, has anyone tried the new Thumbs Up so far? How was it?

Went around 11:30 on Sunday. The place was packed with a wait (told 30 minutes but it only took around seven minutes). Food was yummy like other Thumbs Ups (excellent spuds, grilled veggie bagel, pancakes, french toast, etc.). Service was pleasant too-had a waiter we recognized from Feast. Overall nice experience and we’ll be back, of course. One nice feature is that you can “build your own” breakfast off the menu. Cost is less expensive than Crescent Moon by my estimation as well. It was cozy again and the redecoration effort helped make the space pleasant. Looking forward to seeing Stephanie again and hope she feels better soon (out with the flu). (Only downsides: out of one type of bagel and hot chocolate was watery). Welcome back Thumbs Up!
