Signs of Life In 335 W. Ponce's Century 21 Space

    Decatur Metro | November 25, 2008

Walking by the 335 building last night, my wife noticed a yellow permit in the window of the old Century 21.  Snapping out of my unobservant coma, I subsequently noticed that the Century 21 sign had also been recently taken down.

Does this space finally have a new tenet?  Its been vacant most of the year.

Anyone know who/what it will be?

UPDATE: Catherine gives us the answer in the comments section!

Eyeworks (I’m not sure if it’s one or two words) will be moving in next month. The space will be split with retail in the front and a doctor’s office in the back. I hope they don’t carry Versace or Prada frames, because I’ll be tempted to buy a pair…or two!

Ooohh…cool! Thanks for looking into it for me Catherine!

Actually I need to burn a bunch of FSA money for 2008 and was thinking about getting new frames.

Yeah – I got a pair of glasses there are they are really COOL. They carry more unusual brands than designer (though, sorry Catherine, they carry those too!)
The staff is very stylish and really worked with me to find a pair I loved (not just liked). They did not try to force me into a frame just to get me out the door, which I have experienced before. Rather, they showed me numerous frames until, as the stylist put it, my “eyes lit up.” Best of all, the frames seemed very high quality. They also have in-house lab so I think they keep good quality control.
