Decatur Terrific Thursdays Starts Tonight!

Just as Target quickly begins switching out its ghosts and goblins with snowmen and reindeer even before Oct. 31st, downtown Decatur shops have already left ghoulish thoughts of All-Hallows Eve behind and are now gearing up for the really profitable holidays.
Tonight marks the beginning of Decatur’s annual holiday Thursday evening shop-a-thon…also known as Terrific Thursdays! From now until Christmas, Decatur shops will stay open late on Thursday nights (Thanksgiving being the exception) with special events, discounts and even complementary alcohol (at select locations).

All our shopping will be done in the great shops of Decatur this year. We will keep our hard earned money in our community, and reward the shop keepers who give wonderful support to our community.
Just back from my 1st visit to Whit’s End. Great casual clothes, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere and Jeff even had some wine for his customers. I’d driven by the store many times and read about it (on this blog!) but had never taken the time to stop by. Bought a shirt for my son, and I’ll go back to do more holiday shopping.
