Get Booted
Decatur Metro | June 22, 2008Signs on the doors of Ted’s Montana Grill and Chocolate Bar warn people parking in the CVS Plaza that leave the premises could have their cars booted. Patrons are urged to park in the Artisan deck or pay $75 to have the boot removed.
Guess my prayers have been answered. Pizza’s back on the menu!
Back on June 9th, Carl warned that Selig was booting cars at Commerce Square…but I don’t think I ever posted it. So there it is.
how are they monitoring this?
I think they actually have a guy who’s wandering the lot. Either that or there’s been some sort of parking attendant wannabe hanging around there lately.
As far as I can tell, it’s safe to park in the Decatur First Bank lot in the evenings; I have done that several times with no problems.
Aw phooey – that one’s easy. Park in the CVS lot… walk into the CVS with a brightly colored jacket and no hat. Then take off the jacket and put on the hat and exit our the “front” door on the corner of Commerce and E. Ponce and be on your merry way. The loser in the parking lot thinks you are at the CVS.
i tend to walk but i was just curious. . . .
heaven forbid you just pay a few bucks to park legally….
The parking lot for the shops where Whit’s End, Fleet Feet, Dancing Goats, Twist and Scoot and Hot Yoga are is now being patrolled by a booting company during their business hours. I wouldn’t park there unless you are using one of those businesses, you might get booted.
