We’re receiving multiple eyewitness reports the last 24 hours that furniture has been moved out of HOLA Mexican Cantina at Church and Ponce and the place is now totally empty.

As mentioned on their Facebook page, HOLA! Mexican Cantina opens up in the old Atlanta Bread/Decatur Diner space on the corner of Church Street and Commerce Drive.  As Scott mentions in his jump-the-gun/post FFAF comment “Maybe they were just waiting for perfect outdoor margarita drinking weather.”

The new Mexican restaurant that’s taking the place of the Decatur Diner at the corner of East Ponce and Church Street is called “Hola Mexican Cantina”, according to its liquor license application on the agenda for tonight’s Decatur City Commission meeting yet.
