    Wild Heaven Brewery Construction Underway

    Decatur Metro | October 29, 2013 | 9:11 am

    From the Atlanta Business Chronicle…

Wild Heaven Craft Beers busted out the sledgehammers to mark the start of construction of its 8,000 square-foot brewery in Avondale Estates.

The new brewery, 7 miles from downtown Atlanta, will be outfitted with a 30-barrel brewing system that was previously utilized by SweetWater Brewing Co. and Terrapin Brewing and a tasting room featuring the Wild Heaven beers and seasonal offerings will be a feature.

You can view a nice little slideshow of the initial construction over on the ABC website.

Wild Heaven Announces Fourth Brew: “Let There Be Light”

    Decatur Metro | February 1, 2012 | 9:57 am

From Wild Heaven Craft Beers website…

Who says lighter beers have to be boring? Wild Heaven Craft Beers has taken on that challenge with their brand new brew Let There Be Light. As the brewery’s first “sessionable” beer, Let There Be Light comes in at only 4.7% ABV yet is full of flavor. Starting with both barley and wheat, brewmaster Eric Johnson added two rare hops—Nelson Sauvin and Sorachi Ace—along with a bit of orange peel, to create a complex beer with a citrus note that will change the way you think about “light” beer.

Let There Be Light will debut as the featured February “Beer of The Month” at several Georgia Taco Mac locations: Atlanta Metropolis (Peachtree Street), Virginia-Highland, Suwanee, Alpharetta, Cumming, Perimeter, Buford, Kennesaw, Newnan, Roswell (Crabapple) and Marietta (Dallas Highway).

    Our Way Cafe Reopens Today

    Decatur Metro | April 4, 2011 | 9:54 am

After a fire destroyed much of the interior over a year-ago, Our Way Cafe in Avondale Estates, reopens its doors today.  From the Avondale Estates “City Happenings” newsletter…

Our Way Cafe celebrates its grand re-opening Monday, April 4th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:45 am followed by the doors opening for the lunch crowd at 11:00 am. The 25-year-old restaurant located in the Twin Oaks Shopping Center at 2831 E. College Avenue has been closed since January 2010 due to a fire. The remodeled restaurant features a Tuscany-style decor with archways, polished concrete floors, and Italian sconces. There’s even a cool outside patio that features the handiwork of local artist Jason Smith of Smithworks Iron and Design. Congratulations to Owner Eva Roswall for keeping the faith and for keeping Our Way in Avondale Estates!

    Thanks to Valerie for forwarding!
