She tattooed her boyfriend’s name on her forehead – the internet is shocked

She tattooed her boyfriend’s name on her forehead

When influencer Ana Stanskovsky posted a video of herself getting her boyfriend’s name inked across her forehead, the internet lit up — and not with praise. The act sparked a tidal wave of reactions, from disbelief to outright criticism, and even a few supportive nods. But was it real? Or a clever hoax with a message?

A permanent declaration of love?

In a video that quickly went viral, Ana Stanskovsky, a content creator based in Bali with over 108,000 followers on Instagram, is seen in a tattoo studio, head tilted back, as an artist tattoos the name Kevin — her boyfriend — in bold script across her forehead. The process looked painful; Ana winced, squirmed, and visibly fought back tears as the needle dug in. But once it was over, she was all smiles.

“I just love him so much,” she reportedly said, beaming with pride as she admired the freshly inked name in the mirror.

To some, it was a bold display of romantic devotion. To others, it was… well, madness.

Social media claps back

Unsurprisingly, the video stirred up a storm online. Comments poured in from users across platforms — many expressing shock, others outright concern.

“Kevin’s gonna love it. Your next boyfriend, though?”
“As a tattoo artist, I’d never do this to someone. It’s just wrong.”
“This is beyond stupid,” one user wrote, summing up what many were thinking.

While tattoo culture has become more mainstream and accepted in recent decades, visible tattoos on the face — especially for reasons tied to a relationship — are still seen as extreme. According to a 2023 report by Statista, facial tattoos remain among the least common body art choices globally, and many artists refuse to do them without thorough consultation.

Ana fights back

But Ana wasn’t about to let the backlash go unanswered.

In a follow-up video, she addressed the haters with a calm, defiant tone. “Everyone keeps telling me I’ll regret it,” she said. “But every time I look in the mirror, I see love. I’m in love with my boyfriend and with my tattoo. Why would I regret something so beautiful?”

Her confidence was palpable. And for a brief moment, it seemed she had shut down the critics.

Until she didn’t.

The twist: it was all fake

Just a few days after the uproar, Ana posted another video — this time with a confession. The tattoo? Completely fake.

“It was all part of a social experiment,” she revealed. “I wanted to make people think twice before getting something permanent on a whim — especially something tied to a relationship.”

Reactions were once again mixed. Some applauded the clever stunt, calling it “a much-needed reality check.” Others felt misled, accusing her of attention-seeking or trivializing the art and meaning behind tattoos.

Interestingly, many users began sharing their own stories — some admitting to impulsive tattoos they now regret, while others argued that regrets depend more on the age and mindset at the time of inking than on the tattoo itself.

A viral lesson in permanence

Whether Ana’s video was a stunt, a statement, or both, it certainly sparked a broader conversation about love, identity, and the fine line between authentic expression and impulsive decisions.

Real or fake, it was hard to look away.

As one user put it: “If she fooled us all and made us talk about tattoos and regret — maybe she’s smarter than we thought.”
