Thank you Rene,
I posted a warning of a similar nature when DM first announced that City Commission would be voting on this but it appeared to fall on deaf ears. The commission voted to replace everything based on GA Power’s specs. with no independent research. I regret that I was not able to attend that meeting to more strongly urge delay of implementation until examples could be viewed. Thankfully somebody in The Administration saved the day on this one. This will change the evening appearance of Decatur for many years to come and impact many homes, businesses, wildlife and the evening sky. I’d hope that The Commission will take this as an example and not simply rubber stamp all of the City’s recommendations without a modicum of independent research.
