Dave had an earlier post that said the publisher provided them for all the students.
We, sadly, missed it due to school projects and the like. Happy to see it was packed and hopeful to check today to see if there are any signed copies still floating around, since Little Shop is pretty good about that, so I can surprise my bummed out reader.
Little, Brown — the publisher of Lemony Snicket’s new series, All The Wrong Questions — donated 50 copies of Snicket’s new book, When Did You See Her Last?, to FAVE along with T-shirts for all the kids. Little Shop still has some free shirts available, all youth large. We also have a small number of signed books for sale.
Unfortunately, Lemony Snicket did not show up and instead sent Daniel Handler in his place. Mr. Handler did a terrific job nonetheless, and signed and signed and signed books last night at Little Shop until absolutely everyone in line had a chance to meet him.
I asked my F.AVEr if he was going to read any Lemony Snicket books now that he got a free T-shirt. He looked up from “The Hunger Games” just long enough to say “nah.”
My son saw him at FAVE and thought he was great. He also snagged a free Lemony Snicket t-shirt. Anybody know where the funding for those came from?

Heh–my son said that the FAVE students were talking afterwards about whether this “Daniel Handler” guy was Lemony Snicket or not.
