Ticket Alternative site is already an issue, and yes, 20 minutes last year.

Unofficial opening line is 12.5 minutes.

Love the Ticket Alternative waiting room warnings:
“Please DO NOT hit the refresh button in your browser, open multiple browser tabs/windows, or leave this page — this may result in a longer wait time.”
Guess they forgot the part about DO NOT pass go, DO NOT collect $200.

I wonder if you’re having browser or network issues on your end? I just clicked the link again and everything is working.

I can get into all the other tickets that TA is selling, but Beer Festival keeps timing out.

I was in the “waiting room” from about 11:55 to maybe 12:10 or so and it finally let me in to get them.

Keith — Ended up with an extra pair as the wife and I each bought tickets. Let me know if you’re still in need.

Thanks so much. I’m very appreciative, but I’m also lucky enough to have some other friends with extras, so go ahead and make somebody else happy!!

Got 4 tix in less than 5 minutes; hubby got 4 the minute he signed in. Oh, yeah–there’ll be a horde of Casa Libre folks at the Festival this year!!!

I think they’re all gone. Got mine, thank goodness!

Essentially they are sold out….but some are coming available as the timer on the carts are expiring. It just let me request two more without a problem.

the “holding pattern” in Ticket Alternative was a little nerve-wracking, waiting from 11:56-12:05, but eventually the ticket browser popped up. Phew! Really looking forward to another great event- and more dollars for Decatur from my out of town friend coming for her 4th beer fest!

I was on the site at about 12.25 and still able to buy tickets.

What is the official word on the sellout time? I’d love for it to go back to 2 tickets per person.

SOLD OUT??? Anyone have 2 for sale? We were hoping to spend our first anniversary doing this.

You must mean your first anniversary living in Decatur if you’re surprised they sold out already!

In all seriousness, it’s become ridiculous that they sell out in minutes, with many going to scalpers who sell them for a profit. However, each of the last three years, even though tickets were re-sold at high prices early on, there have been a flood of tickets available at cost or cheaper closer to the event. Two years ago I had a friend back out the day before the event and I literally couldn’t give the extra one away. So there’s hope!

There are a pair on eBay already. Asking price $150.

I know name calling is against the rules, but…douche bags. I’m all for free enterprise, but did I mention…douche bags. I guess in this case, I’m more for free expression.
