Weird, but I saw a dog that looks just like this one at a gas station in McDonough yesterday (Monday, 4/29). It was a landscaper/work type truck and the dog was sitting in the lap of the passenger. I know that’s not a big help…

Please be sure to check with Dekalb Animal Services!! The shelter is off Kensington Rd south of Memorial.

We saw this guy running east down the middle of ponce with another, slightly larger brown dog around this time. We circled back and tried to intercept at the square but only saw the brown dog. He headed back west and ran into the neighborhood behind Wachovia. We did call animal control because we couldn’t catch up with them and they kept darting in traffic. Definitely check animal control. Good luck! I wish we could have helped more.

Thanks so much. So they were running east up the hill on Ponce. How far do you think Buddy got? Did he go all the way to the square? There has been a sighting in Glendale Estates about this same day/ time? But thats a long way. Again thanks. At least I know which direction he ran.

Yes. We first saw them on ponce around the area near the bank, and they were running up hill
towards the square. By the time we turned around and got up there, we only saw the brown one and he turned around and was going back towards Wachovia. I bet Buddy hit the square and diverted towards maybe the Iberian Pig side or the direction on the library but that’s a total guess based on time, how fast they were going, where we saw the brown one and where else we looked…good luck, we have our fingers crossed for you!

Buddy has been FOUND and ok. Thanks to all the very nice people keeping an eye out for him. Thanks to DECATURMETRO. Learned what an effective communications tool it is. And heartfull thanks to Ann of Midway Road. She is a special beacon for lost critters. She kindly and patiently worked to get Buddy up to her deck. He was a long way from home. Obviously stressed and crying. But now acclimating to his old bed and really sleeping soundly.

If you only knew how many people helped me find Buddy. It was such a lesson in the good in folks. Besides immediate neighbors there was Decaturs motor cycle cop, the clean up crew around the Square, cemetery grass crew and nice girl in the office who posted his pic in the window, Decaturs trash-truck crews, tennis center office, new Asian merchants arriving early to their shops on the Square saying “put picture in window”, the Glendale lady who called 5x with tips and encouragement, my young Dec. High friend who I found riding his bike at 10:30 pm Mon calling Buddy and texting 2x per day from school for an update, the dog walker behind the Artisan who said when I showed Buds picture ” we’re already looking for him”, ( I then knew many people were looking that I didn’t even know about), the Sub. Plaza shop keep calling w/ a sighting, several cell phone calls from drivers with sightings, my buis. partner who told people not to bother me while I looked, to buis. friends sending emails of “don’t give up.” So many, many people more people….a group effort. Thankyou! And to DM for the ‘front page pic of Lost Buddy’….Thanks! So many eyes.
