Free King of Pops on Decatur Square (and Everywhere!) Today

It’s no April Fools joke. Or if it is, it’s likely to incense a whole lot of folks! FM Fats points out that today, King of Pops is giving out free pops at all locations courtesy of MailChimp for it’s 3-year anniversary.

Fats points out that the Decatur Square location’s hours are 12p-8p. That’s confirmed on KOP’s website.

Just stepped away from my desk for a KOP break. Made sure i contributed to the tip jar. The smiles from the vendor were real and the pops were delish. What a great PR move.
it was amazing. pulled up to a parking spot on the sqaure around 4 while running errands, the meter still had 52 minutes left! free parking and popsicles!

It looks like they were packing it up by 530. The word was spreading like fire at the MARTA station when I got off there.
Drat. We showed up at 6:00pm (after eating at a nearby restaurant) and he was gone. Kind of wish they had said “until supplies last” because my small children were a little bummed.
I did not realize they were free. This is what I get for working today and not constantly refreshing DM.
