Decatur Restaurant Owner Teri Rogers Passes Away

Decatur Metro | January 27, 2013

More very sad news out of Decatur this morning.  I have received word that Teri Rogers, great community advocate and former owner of Feast, passed away yesterday morning.  You may recall that Teri closed her flagship restaurant, Feast, in February of last year after her breast cancer returned for a second time.

According to the note, the funeral arrangements are as follows…

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 29th from 5 pm to 7 pm at Joiner Anderson Funeral Home, 502 Miller Street Extension, Statesboro, Georgia 30458.    The funeral service will be at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 30th at 2 pm in the chapel at the funeral home.

All the very best to Teri’s family and friends during this very difficult time.  She will be dearly missed throughout the Decatur community.

What a shame. Always a gracious hostess on our visits to Feast. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

I worked with Teri when she was GM at Neighbor’s Pub in Va-High 1994-5. She was loads of fun and a good person. The whole (except the unlucky few scheduled that night) used to go out to nice restaurants with a couple of regulars on Tuesday nights. We had a great thing and she was part of its heart.

I miss Feast and Teri’s warm welcomes and beautiful, smiling face whenever I was there. I’m sure her family and friends will miss her more.

I am very sorry to hear this. I always had a good meal when I dined at Feast. We celebrated my mother’s birthday there one time and really enjoyed ourselves. I did not know her personally but Teri always had a warm greeting when she was at the door. Like HomeGrownGal said, a gracious hostess. My sympathies to her friends and family for their loss.

Oh, this is so sad. Teri created our second home with Feast. She will be sorely missed.

Teri and I started our career at the Peasant Restaurants together. I admired there then and in later years for her accomplishments. She was a delightful spirit and will be missed.
