Sure wish those stairs were a ramp!
I did not dare to use the under-rail tunnel until well into my 10th year of teaching at DHS. There was always something kinda scary about going under, and even walking over, the tracks. As a pre-teen in Decatur back in the Sixties, I remember being concerned about walking across the tracks for the first time. Would a train suddenly appear and pin me down, cutting me in half?!!! I can only guess that the tunnel is still quite an experience for the younger generation.
That kid is thinking “And yet they freaked out when I drew on the wall with crayons. Will use spray paint next time, for credibility.”
Knowing Rodney, he’ll probably buy the spray paint for her.
We bought the washable spray paint 😉
Lucky kid!
Krog for the G-Rated crowd.
+1
I like street art. And I have walked through this tunnel many times (before the art), now I need to just go SEE IT again for myself! Bravo for street/public art! Yeah, I am a Banksy fan too.
This tunnel was a little scarey before it became a canvas. Anyone remember the first Color Wheel mural there? The Krog Tunnel would be genuinely terrifying without the art. I always feel like I’m on a decrepit addict-lined access road of the Cross Bronx Expressway when I’m driving through it.
